Songs I Have Written
For some reason melodies have always come fairly easy to me. Now, whether they are good or not, well, that’s a whole other story. The reason I started to write music was really for personal reasons. I would often sing to our children when I would put them to bed at night. Soon, I brought a guitar into the picture. What followed were a bit more constructed love songs to our children and to my wife. Over the years it’s something that has broadened a bit. Probably my favorite song I’ve written is “Eyes On You Alone” which is inspired by the Lord coming to the disciples amidst the storm on the Sea of Galilee and “You fell down” which attempts to capture the dynamics of the garden of Gethsemane. The vocals you’ll hear on these songs are from past and present music./ worship leaders we’ve had at our church, although our daughter Sarah sings on the song “Coming King” and “Safety At Your Feet” which we co-wrote together. The song “I’m Yours For Life” (published by Maranatha Music) was co-written with Joe Sabolick (who penned “Come Just As You Are”). I hope you enjoy!
